Bezalel: Your Talents Have a Purpose
☕ Morning Encouragement
When we think about serving God, we often picture preaching, teaching, or leading worship.
But Scripture reminds us that God also works through artists, builders, craftsmen, and people with practical abilities.
Bezalel was chosen to help construct the tabernacle.
God equipped him with the wisdom and skill necessary for the work.
📖 Going Deeper: The Word "Wisdom"
The Hebrew word ḥokmāh (חָכְמָה), translated "wisdom," can describe practical skill, sound judgment, and the ability to perform skilled work. Biblical wisdom is not limited to intellectual knowledge.
What the Original Audience Would Have Understood
The tabernacle was the sacred place associated with God's presence among Israel.
Its construction required careful attention to God's instructions and skilled craftsmanship.
Bezalel's abilities were presented as gifts empowered by God's Spirit for a holy purpose.
❤️ Breakfast for the Soul
Your talents do not have to look like someone else's to matter.
Whether you cook, repair, organize, encourage, teach, or create, your abilities can become opportunities to serve God and others. What you do with faithfulness can become an act of worship.
🙏 Morning Prayer
Lord, thank You for the abilities You have given me. Help me recognize opportunities to use them for Your glory. Keep me from comparing my gifts with those of others, and teach me to serve faithfully wherever You place me. Amen.
