Gentleness

📖 Matthew 11:29“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart...”

Word: Prautēs (πραΰτης) — gentleness, meekness, strength under control.

Thought: The ancient world often admired power, status and dominance. Yet Jesus describes Himself as gentle. Biblical gentleness isn't weakness. It is strength that doesn't need to dominate, humiliate or overpower another person.

Go Deeper: Read Matthew 11:28–30, Galatians 6:1 and 1 Peter 3:15. Notice the situations in which Scripture calls for gentleness.

Consider: When I know I'm right, what do I do with the power that gives me?

Challenge: In one difficult conversation, care as much about your manner as your message.
