Keep in Step

📖 Galatians 5:25“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Word: Stoicheō (στοιχέω) — to walk in line, keep in step, follow a standard or direction.

Thought: Paul's wording pictures an ordered walk. The Spirit doesn't simply give us spiritual moments; He leads us into a new manner of everyday life. If the Spirit has given us life, our ordinary steps should increasingly follow His direction.

Go Deeper: Read Galatians 5:16–26, Romans 8:12–14 and Ezekiel 36:26–27. Notice the relationship between the Spirit's presence and changed conduct.

Consider: Is the Spirit merely someone I believe in—or Someone whose direction actually shapes how I live?

Challenge: Before one ordinary decision each day, pause and pray: “Holy Spirit, help me walk according to God's will here.”
